The service
JSON Bench is a free, browser-based developer utility. It is provided at no cost, with no account, no subscription and no payment of any kind. Every feature runs on your own machine; there is no server-side processing and no server-side storage of anything you enter.
Acceptable use
Use it for any lawful purpose. Do not use it to process material you have no right to process. Because the tool runs entirely in your browser, what you paste into it is between you and your own computer - but that also means the responsibility for the data you handle is entirely yours.
No warranty
JSON Bench is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The parser, the JSONPath engine, the structural diff and the converters are covered by an automated test suite, but no software is free of defects. Do not rely on this tool as the only check on data that matters. Always keep your own copy of any document before transforming it.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the publisher of this build is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, JSON Bench - including loss of data, loss of profits or business interruption - even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Availability and changes
This build is a showcase deployment. It may be changed, moved or withdrawn at any time and without notice. Because a service worker caches the page, a copy may keep working in your browser after the hosted version has changed; reloading while online replaces it with the current one.
Privacy
Data handling is described on the privacy page. In summary: your documents are
never uploaded, two entries are written to your browser's own localStorage, and the only
thing transmitted is anonymous performance and traffic-source information.
Governing terms
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. These terms are the entire agreement between you and the publisher regarding JSON Bench.
